Medicaid Supported Compensation
You or your loved one may qualify for programs that would allow the loved one to stay in their own home and provide care in the home. Sincere Residential is a provider of these services, and can provide the staffing, but did you know that the staffing could be you, and that you could receive monetary compensation for your service!?!
What Can a Medicaid Waiver Do For You and Your Loved Ones?
A Medicaid Waiver for the Aged & Disabled provides a variety of services to the recipients. These services exist to allow your loved ones to remain in their homes or your home for as long as they are able. Some of these programs are;
In home meal delivery
Transportation to appointments and errands
Housekeeping and cleaning services
Attendant care services which include grooming and personal care
A Medicaid Waiver for the Aged & Disabled provides several services beyond What is listed here. It is the responsibility of your Case Manager to connect you to the proper services your need. Sincere Residential works with you and the Case Manager to achieve the best outcomes for your loved ones, and provide guidance on what services you might need.
Indiana’s Medicaid Waiver program went into effect on July 1, 2024. The programs are named PathWays for Aging and Health and Wellness (H&W) waivers. These programs and waivers were formerly combined and named the Aged and Disabled (A&D) waiver. Amendments to the Community Integration and Habilitation (CIH), Family Supports (FSW), and Traumatic Brain Injury (TBI) waivers also went into effect. Effective July 1, individuals age 59 and younger who had been receiving services through the Aged and Disabled waiver will receive services through the Health and Wellness waiver. Indiana PathWays for Aging, is a Medicaid Managed Care program, for individuals aged 60. The Managed Care Entities are Anthem, Humana, and United Health. Some individuals on the PathWays program will qualify for additional services based on their needs and will be eligible for the PathWays Medicaid Waiver. Those individuals were also previously served by the Aged and Disabled Waiver.

How Do I Become a Family Caregiver?
You must first learn if your loved one qualifies for service. Please CLICK HERE to access the questionnaire. You may also contact us over the phone. Please call (800) 597-6958 to speak with a representative about this process. Please leave a message if we are unable to answer your call right away. A representative will contact you to discuss the needs of your loved one and their current living arrangement. Sincere Residential will assist you in applying to the proper governing agencies.
There are some qualifications that you have to meet to be the Family Caregiver for your loved one. The funds that support this program and others like it are provided by the state and there are rules associated with it. In order to provide Attendant or medical care of any kind in the state of Indiana you have to be able to pass a criminal background check that has no felonies (there are some limited exceptions).
